Gas Processing Company LLP, in December 2018, completed a project implementation of a modern plant construction for the utilization of associated petroleum gas at the Kozhasay field (Gas Processing Plant with a capacity of 300 000 000 m3/year (GPP-40)), in the Bayganin district of Aktobe region. 3
This project complies with the state policy on energy and environmental security, and also allows replenishing the country's resources with commercial gas. The plant allows stopping gas burning and atmospheric contamination, which significantly improves the ecological situation in the Aktobe region, where intensive oil production is carried out, which is characterized by an increased content of hazardous compounds, as well as rational use of the raw material base at the Kozhasay field. .

      This project provides the use of the latest and high performance technologies of fine cleaning, drying and condensation, ensuring the most complete processing of them with the production of commercial products. The capacity of the plant allows to process 300 million cubic meters of gas per year.

              More than 1 560 jobswere created during the construction period; more than 250 permanent jobs Reduction of harmful emissions into the atmosphere. With the agreed burning of raw gas, Kazakhoil Aktobe LLP paid about 5 billion tenge. The implementation of this project made it possible to achieve a highly synergistic effect for business and the state through the effective use of private investments.

EBITDA:

Actual for 2019 7 569 689 000 tenge

                                  ($18.9 million USA);

Plan for 2020 12 104 304 000 tenge

                                  ($30.2 million USA).

     Uniqueness, significance, features of the design: Oil and gas fields of Aktobe region are characterized by an increased content of sulfur-containing compounds in associated gases, which with an increase in oil production leads to an environmental deterioration in the region due to hazardous emissions when burning associated gas on flares. Due to the strengthening environmental protection requirements, all subsoil users are forced to take measures to reduce hazardous emissions, which are directly concerned with the problem of associated gas utilization.

             Selection of gas treatment technology is due to the fact that the gas produced in this region has a very high content of hydrogen sulfide (up to 3%), mercaptans (650 mg\m3) and other components that need to be removed during gas preparation (carbon dioxide, nitrogen, etc.). Gas purification processes for hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide are varied, as are amines intended for gas purification. The selected process flow diagram is most cost-effective for equipment spending, easy to manage and time-proved. The processing of such associated petroleum gas (further APG) requires the use of cleaning technology, which allows not only to extract harmful sulfur-containing impurities from the gas, but also to dispose them for the neutralization purpose. The project envisages complex processing of APG using latest and high performance technologies of fine cleaning, drying and low-temperature condensation, ensuring their most complete processing with production of commercial products with minimum hazardous emissions.
